Billy swears that Halloween is his favorite holiday, but we never do anything and I always feel guilty about it. This year I'm determined to do something fun...I just don't know what. A costume party, a murder mystery dinner, a get together with Halloween games?
Then what if I do it and people are lame? That would suck. I need ideas people!! What should I do that will be super fun, way cool and make everyone adore me??

I love the murder mystery dinner idea! One of my friends is going to a "70's music icons" Halloween party! You could do a famous couples party and then play couples games like The Newlywed Game. Another friend said that her SIL does Halloween up BIG. Her party invites were long jewelry boxes with plastic skeletons inside and the invite in the top cover of the "Casket".
I think the murder myster dinner is a fab idea becuase it's all planned for you in a box! Easy. Plus it's different.

Never been to a murder mystery dinner, but it sounds awesome. And then when you're done, you and the whole gang can go and t.p. everyone's houses who were too cool to come to the party!
i have heard the murder/mystery parties are super fun. i would go with that. but put on the invites no fun suckers!

I just came upon your blog again and saw this post... My friend had a Guitar Hero party and everyone had to dress up as a rock star. They played Guitar Hero all night. My friends husband was even wearing bracelets and eyeliner. It gives everyone an easy theme to dress up for so there's no excuse! (You just need the game!)

I love your idea for the murder mystery dinner! If you don't want lame people then don't invite lame people. You should put a stipulation on your invitation, "You can only come if you're going to be fun!" Barry said he'd come!
