One of the things that I still haven't told you (because I love to keep my secrets) is that Billy made me a consult appointment to the orthodontist during my birthday week!
On his quest to free me from childhood scars and take care of me he decided it was about time to make my pearly whites align. That or he's just sick of me complaining about my teeth.
So yesterday I got my braces on. At first, it was exciting and new and then...
3 hours later I was thinking I'd rather keep my childhood scars and twisted teeth. Oooodelalie! These things hurt.
As I lay in bed, I was thinking about all the things I could have purchased for $4,000 big ones. Or eaten - pain free. Talk about buyers remorse.

Oh I feel you!! Poor thing. I don't know if you remember back to us as 10 year olds, but I was hideous!! My "vampire teeth" on top were all forward and high. They were FREAKISH. After 2 weeks with my braces on (and CONSTANT PAIN), those teeth were down in line with the rest. Soooo awful. It will get better soon though. And it will be the coolest thing ever the day you get them off!!! :)
Lisa! At least you didn't wait until you were 50 like my mom! Just think of this as another cleanse. What a great way to make food so undesirable:)

Lisa! Your buyer's remorse will turn into "that wasn't so bad" a few months from now! I'm sorry you are in pain, but at least you weren't in pain during your birthday week, right? Crooked teeth, or straight pearly whites I love you all the same--Even though you'll look that much finer with straight pearly whites!
make sure to wear your retainer when you're done. My teeth are reverting back to the problem they were before.

dude. LUCKY! ok yeah it hurts now. but no pain no gain right? sure sure you tell your clients that but that doesn't apply to you does it?!

i sadly wanna get braces AGAIN, but, it's not happening right now.
and Jill is right, wear your retainer so you only have to suffer through braces once.
you have the sweetest husband! i love how he loves you so much and cares so much about your happiness -- righting the wrongs of the past, etc. sorry those things hurt, but his heart is in the right place :)
I just have to say that you look so darn cute! Once it is all over you will be so happy!!! Take care and happy house hunting...
Ouch! I had braces back when I was 13 and I remember how much they hurt. I couldn't even bite into a piece of bread without some major pain! It does get better, so hang in there!
I got braces in January and totally know what you mean. OUCH! I have been amazed by the immediate change in my teeth though, so most days I think its well worth it. Wink!
